tradition in the church
For those of us who have spent most of our Christian life in non-traditional church settings, more traditional churches can feel like a whole different religion! Many of us have a desire for a better understanding of church history and the traditions that our denominations and churches may have lost or left behind.
Here, we will look at church beliefs, traditions, history, and people that have shaped and spread the faith over the last two millennia. Perhaps some traditions we’ll find are better left behind us. But I expect that many of our findings will reveal a richness that is still available to us today.
My name is Keith Kelso. I grew up in a Pentecostal church in central Florida, and I currently attend a non-denominational church. I have a bachelor’s degree in History (minors in Religion and New Testament Greek) and a Master of Education degree, both from Southeastern University. I have studied church history and theology some throughout my life, but this blog will certainly be a learning experience for me, as well as, I hope, for my readers.
